The Wild Rovers are great! Cannot recommend this experience enough. I rented Sunny and he did not skip a beat. Set up was done in a matter of minutes and had everything I needed for my 12 day trip around the South Island. The communication with Andie was above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back down to the South Island and get in touch with Wild Rovers again.

We rented Sunny the Land Rover from Andie at The Wild Rovers, and we had the most wonderful time exploring Queenstown and the South Island! Andie was so lovely and answered any questions we had and was very quick to respond to our messages. Sunny had all of the camping gear you might need, meaning that we could just focus on having fun! Unbelievable trip/journey. Andie and Craig have done an amazing job kitting Rocky out with everything. All the gear was robust, intuitive and very useful! They thought of everything. The car drove well and everything was seamless. Was a dream setup and an amazing vacation. The best way to see the south island highly recommend.

We loved our few days away in the Land Rover! The set up was great and had everything you needed. The tent was very easy to pop out and set up. Craig was also lovely and showed us everything before we headed off. Headed up to Mount cook and back. With some epic photos in the rover. Would absolutely hire again!

We rented Rocky the Defender from Wild Rovers and it truly was the best rental car experience we’ve ever had. The Defender was simply amazing—such a fun and clearly well-cared for vehicle with extremely high quality upgrades. The business owner Andie was also extraordinarily responsive, stocking the Defender with everything we needed (table, chairs, silverware, etc.) and even suggesting a perfect spot for an afternoon picnic with our kids. Just a perfect experience that we’ll always remember and hope to do again some day; if you’re looking for the best rental vehicle in Queenstown this is it!

Absolutely amazing week in Rocky! From booking to drop off communication was spot on and Andie could not have been a more helpful and thoughtful host! Rocky was kitted out with everything you needed, we had so much fun and will definitely be back.
