Wildwood sits beneath The Remarkables overlooking Lake Wakatipu, around 20 minutes from central Queenstown.
Walk from the property down to the lake and follow the trail towards the Drift Bay picnic area, head up The Remarkables, play a round at Jacks Point, or simply stay put and enjoy having a little corner of Queenstown to yourself.
From road trip to rest
Wildwood is the home of The Wild Rovers, so naturally we think the hut and a Defender make a pretty good pair.
Stay a night or two before your adventure, unpack and get settled before hitting the road. Or save the hut for the end of your journey and swap the rooftop tent for a hot tub, roaring fire and a night beneath The Remarkables.
